Right Nowish
tl;dr: Bought a house; bought a Prius; started a commute; got an iPad; did Inktober; built some fun MM2 levels; board games are still packed; and fiction writing project to kick off soon.
In October we found a great new home in Memphis. It's an upgrade from the Nashville house in size, finishes, and yard size. We got some land, around 1 acre! It's great for the dogs and the kids. Plus Lu and I can take daily walks around the property and stay close to home.
Unfortunately the movers broke a bunch of our stuff. Lot's of scratches, dings, dents, and overall damage for such a short move. We've moved across the country 3 times, and only lost a desk and a microwave.
The house in Nashville hasn't sold yet, but in December as part of my benefits package AutoZone will buy the house if it hasn't sold yet, so I'm not really worried about it.
I worked remotely for AutoZone from June until November 1st, I'm in the office now, working and commuting daily. I bought a Toyota Prius for the commute, since the Ram is paid off and it would kill me on gas. So Far I've spent $17 on Gas with the Prius and have put 700 miles on it.
I got an iPad Pro in September, just in time for Inktober, and I've been drawing every day since. The iPad is legit the best drawing tool I've ever invested in. Really happy with the purchase.
I created and released four Mario Maker 2 levels, a few of them have been played and liked on stream by some Mario Maker Twitch streamers, so that was fun. I got side-tracked with Borderlands 3 so I haven't made a level in a bit, but plan to get back to it soon, it's a satisfying and fun activity.
I'm still in love with board games as a hobby, but I haven't played any in about 2 months due to putting new carpet in the Nashville home my game collection has been packed since August and is still packed in Memphis as we speak, hopefully I'll get it unpacked soon.
I plan to start writing my first of 52 stories in 52 weeks this week. So hopefully by the next update to this page I'll have a few out in the wild.
